For more than six months, we’ve been proud to welcome senior students from Aspect South East Sydney School to our campus as they undertake their Certificate II in Hospitality and Workplace Skills programs. 

Attending campus five days a week, students have become a familiar and valued part of our community. From enjoying morning tea and lunch on the green to visiting the café and connecting with staff and students around campus, they are experiencing life beyond school in a welcoming and inclusive environment. 

The partnership provides students with the opportunity to build confidence, independence, and social connections while becoming comfortable in a tertiary education setting. These everyday experiences play an important role in supporting future transitions, helping students develop the skills and self-belief needed for their next steps. 

One of the highlights has been watching students grow in confidence as they navigate campus life, access facilities independently, and form meaningful relationships within our community. The familiar faces, friendly conversations, and supportive environment all contribute to a strong sense of belonging. 

Today, we were delighted to welcome Joanne Tisdall, Principal of Aspect South East Sydney School, and Hannah, Leader of Learning and Wellbeing, who met with our CEO, Bernadette Mills and Disability Services Manager, Rachael Johnstone to discuss the ongoing success of our collaboration and future opportunities to continue supporting students. 

Together, we’re creating an environment where students can expand their horizons beyond school, build independence, and feel connected to a community that celebrates their potential.
